Though coach Lane Kiffin has done a good job creating some buzz around his Tennessee program in his first year, the Volunteers are just 7-5, with losses to UCLA, Auburn and Mississippi. Those three games were big losses in the year, and while the Vols lost to No. 1 Florida and No. 1 Alabama, they did keep those games pretty competitive.
Virginia Tech had a peculiar year, dropping two games in a row to Georgia Tech and North Carolina, but the Hokies’ three losses came by 10, 5 and 3 points. While Virginia Tech has not been as dominant as they have been in years past, and inconsistent to boot, the Hokies should out class Tennessee on the field and win this game by double digits. Take Virginia Tech and the points.
